Why I Deserve a Gamer Girl

1. I can wait.

I understand that finding a gamer girl can be a difficult task.  I don’t whine every- day saying, “It’s so unfair! Why don’t I have my gamer girl?!” With a high expecta- tion, I am willing to wait for it because it’s only fair.

2. Less tension in the relationship.

Since she plays video games with me, she will have under- standing of why they are so important to me.  With my friends' past and present girl- friends, there have been many arguments surrounding him and his video game hobby.  So I would like to avoid what they have gone through.

My girlfriend won’t argue with me by using arguments like, “They’re such a waste of time!” or “They’re stupid!”  Instead of me responding with my curt, “You’re stupid” line, I can avoid it all together since she plays video games, too.  With her realizing her own passion for running around shooting virtual people in the face, she’ll have no desire to put me down for joining in on the fun.  Besides, she would never insult her own hobby.

3. More fun-filled, free dates.

“Let’s go waste money on bowling, or going to the movies, or driving to the mall buying lots of clothes, or eating somewhere!”  A far better alternative for me and my girl to those lovely suggestions is  simple.

Stay home.  Turn on our PS3s. Press ‘X’ on SOCOM: Confrontation (my game of choice).  And enjoy a fun filled night playing until 7 o’clock in the morning of online gaming!

In case I haven’t convinced you why this is a great idea yet, then you’re obviously not the gamer girl for me =D.  Well, I guess I could explain it better.

First, we can play online together in-person or she can be at her place while I’m at mine.  C’mon, a date where both her and I don’t even have to get out of bed to hang out with each other.  How awesome is that?

Secondly, since we’re not going out (and spending money on gas), we can wear whatever we want.  As a guy, it doesn’t matter one way or the other since it takes me five seconds to throw on a T-shirt and jeans.  But I’m thinking about her.  She won’t have to spend at least  ten minutes blow drying her hair, twenty minutes on make up and thirty on figuring out what outfit will make her look the cutest and showing off her goods while  at the same time making sure her thighs  don’t look big.  She can simply slip into her white animal / dessert covered pajamas and let her hair be damned!

Thirdly, if we play together, we can be flirty and compliment each other for planting the bomb, sniping a guy, or getting MVP.  We can turn games into challenges, like “whoever gets MVP this game has to make the other a grilled cheese.”  It’s competitive, but still fun for the both of us.  (Although, if we’re playing online, the loser couldn’t make the other a grilled cheese until the next day).

4. We’ll spend more time together.

With her being a gamer girl, and me being a gamer guy, we get to be together a lot more.  Let me explain.

Video games are an important part of my life.  Not obsessive; just important.  If I played video games and she didn’t, then occasionally when she wanted to hang out, I would say I’m playing SOCOM and she would get irritated because she didn’t play.  Sure, she could come over and hang out while I play, but she would get bored fast and start complaining and then eventually we’d get into an argument ending with her being mad at me.  I don’t know about you, but I would rather steer clear of all that frustration right from the beginning.

I do have a solution to avoid all that: she plays with me!  Since I will inevitably spend time away from her with my other love, she might as well love my love to cherish our love.  Since she’ll love  (I swear, that’s the last “love” I’ll use... except for that one) video games as much as I do, we can play together.  That way, we can have more time for each other because her hobby shares in my own.

5. I do a lot of girl stuff, so she should be able to do guy stuff

Being raised with three sisters forced me to not just tolerate, but love activities girls love.  Shopping, The Bachelor, listening to her talk about her day; I love all of it!  (and apparently love using the word love).

My belief is, if I’m into a lot of girl stuff, then it’s only fair that I ask she be into guy stuff, such as video games.  In the afternoon we’ll go shopping, I’ll help her pick out a cute outfit to wear at work to show up some stuck up bitch she can’t stand, and then we will come home and kick it playing SOCOM for three hours.

6. She calls late at night wanting to talk and I’m playing video games

My two best friends have had countless issues with being up late at night playing video games and their girlfriend calls to talk.  It usually has my friend mindlessly agreeing, “Yeah” “Uh, huh” and then a final goodnight after an hour of not knowing what the hell she talked about.  Occasionally, the girlfriend gets mad that he’s not paying attention, and he’s just trying to play video games so she interrupting his down time (which guys hate).

My solution: ask her to play and talk with me.  If she plays SOCOM too, then instead of awkwardly holding the phone between my shoulder and ear, we can hang out on the same team and she can tell me about her day over the headset in-game.

I will be more attentive because she’s my teammate so for stuff I don’t care so much about, I’ll listen more carefully inherently in case she’ll say something important for the team’s victory.  Communication is key in the game at calling out where the enemy is and requesting back up, so to ensure I do not miss what she’s saying, I’ll listen to when she’s talking about the game and talking about her day equally.

Okay, so I received an e-mail saying I won the Prysm's February Relationship Writing Contest!  You know why that's cool?  (Aside from the fact I  get $100 buckaroos?)  It's the first time I was paid to be a writer, especially concerning relationships.

(someone rated it 3 out of 5 stars, what a douche =) )

Why Girls Who Can Dance Are Sexy

People look at all sorts of ways to figure out who are person is.  The way they dress, their music preference, how they carry themselves, ect.  So I figured, why not discover their personality through dance as well?

So much personality is displayed by the way women dance.  Here are 15 reasons why I find that girls who can dance are sexy.

1. Confidence

They display confidence within their ability to dance, in addition to the belief that others will be entertained and impressed.  It tells me she’s comfortable with who she is and the choices she makes.

2. Expressive

Through hands gestures, facial expressions and bodily movements, a girl reveal how expressive she can be.

3. No Shame

By expressing themselves freely they are opening themselves up to scrutiny.  The fact she still dances anyway shows they have no shame in how they dance; which is a real turn on.

4. Passionate

How much she puts in to dancing is a great cue to knowing how much she puts into other areas of her life.  All the energy and vibrance tells me she is full of life and someone worth taking the time to get to know.

5. Energetic

I know it may seem like the same thing as passionate, but passion reveals more on how she approaches life.

Her moves on the dance floor show me she’s got a lot of  juice to play basketball, go running, bedtime wrestling (oops, wasn’t supposed to write that one =D ), and other activities that sluggish people wouldn’t be interested in.  And to keep up with me, she’s got to have a lot of energy.

6. Intelligence

If she can dance, she can think.  It takes a lot of brain power to pull of some of those pop and locks and break dancing moves.  Especially when it comes to choreographed routines.

If she can analyze, break a move down, remember and execute it, then she’s got a personality (or brain) that I would definitely buy a drink for.

7. Endurance

Dancing takes a huge amount of energy. She’ll be moving and groovin’ for hours without much more than a cup of water to keep her going.

A woman who’s capable of lasting on the dance floor, well, let’s just say it lets me know she can last a lot longer in other areas.

8. Athleticism

This sort of combines energetic and endurance.  Watching a girl dance the night away shows me she’s got plenty of energy and endurance that didn’t come out of nowhere.

She’s athletic.  And that’s hot.  Dancing is just as rigorous as any sport (except Wii bowling).  Seeing her handle herself tells me she has lots of enthusiasm and capacity to play sports with me.

9. Healthy

The fact that she’s actively hip hop dancing shows me she takes care of herself.  The continuous movements tell me she exercises and/ or eats reasonably well for her body to be able to keep up with her hobby.

10. Happy

She enjoys what she does.  Seeing her smile as she thizzes lets me know this girl is happy, and I like happy people.

11. Relax and Have Some Fun

Since she’s capable of letting herself go and dancing the way she wants, it shows me she’s not strict all the time and is capable of relaxing and having a good time.  I can tell she doesn’t take herself too seriously and enjoys life.

12. Flexibility

There are some moves a girl can do that definitely shows off her flexibility.  That’s always a good thing =)

13. Control

Her having control over her body shows she’s in control of her life.  A girl who is all over the place with moves is a huge turn off because she has no direction.  A girl who has specific moves and knows how she wants to execute them shows me she’s got direction and focus in her life.

14. Rhythm

For me, it’s important that my girl has rhythm.  She knows how to move to a beat and use it to her advantage.  But that’s only because I love music.

For more real life situations, I learn from her that she has low levels of clumsiness, and increased mobility and coordination.

15. Pays Attention to Detail

This is like rhythm, part two.  To be able to hit certain notes and beats in a song with choreographed moves is amazing.  The only way a girl can pull that off is if she’s attentive.

She has to be able to listen and feel the music to be able to be in sync with it.  And if she can do that to the music, then I know she’ll listen and pay attention to our relationship.

At the end of day, I’m an Alpha Male, so I need an Alpha Female.  All these traits show me that the girl dancing is a healthy, smart, strong woman who’s  definitely a force to be reckoned with.  And that is why a girl who can dance is sexy.
